On the 6th of April 2005, the General Secretary of
Noua Dreapta, Mr. Claudiu Mihutiu, took part as a
guest of honour in the 40th anniversary solemnities of
the NPD.
The event took place in Stolberg, Germany, gathering
press representatives and more than 300 guests. The
opening speech was held by the NPD president Udo
Voigt; it was followed by messages from Gerhard Frey
(president of DVU) and Gunther Deckert, former
president of the NPD.
Soon after that came the honoured guests' speeches:
Horst Maller (NPD's lawyer who won the historic trial
in which the party was about to be banned), Herve van
Laethem (leader of Movement Nation from Belgium) and
Claudiu Mihutiu (General Secretary of Noua Dreapta
from Romania).
Other members of NPD talked about "The beginning of
NPD" (Manfred Aegenvoort), "Hunting Patriots" (Udo
Walendy), "Four decades of NPD" (Thomas Salomon), "The
Old Guard in New Times" (J?rgen Schrembs) and "The
Comeback - NPD in Saxony's Parliament" (Holger Apfel -
NPD's group leader in the Saxony Parliament).
After the speeches, Udo Voigt awarded members with
more that 30 years in the party, with honorific
diplomas. The event ended with the folk performance of
the well-known singer Frank Rennicke.
