The Romanian neo-legionary movement Noua Dreapta (New
Right) organised between 4-7 August the 5th edition of
the Nationalist Summer Camp. For three days Noua
Dreapta militants participated at conferences held by
the national leaders, took part in workshops, trips
and recreational activities.
The main themes of the conferences put the emphasis on
the 2 dimensions of the national question: the problem
of the second Romanian state - the Republic of
Moldova, and the problem of the Romanian ethnics
living around the borders and within the Balkans.
Noua Dreapta proclaimed the necessity and the normalcy
of unifying the two Romanian states, Romania and
Moldova, following the model of the German
reunification. The existence of two Romanian states on
Europe's map is unnatural and only perpetuates the
abusive territorial annexation made by the former
Soviet Union, following the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact in
1940.
Also, Noua Dreapta reaffirmed its preoccupation for
preserving the ethnic, linguistic, cultural and
religious identity of over 3 million Romanians living
beyond the current borders (in Ukraine, Serbia,
Bulgaria and Hungary) and within the Balkans (Albania,
Greece, Macedonia), that experience an aggressive
policy of assimilation.
